Iorio & Adelizzi from Campagna in Salerno prov., Campani

I've been intensly researching my family history for a good two years and have gotten great results. It all began while trying to get my Italian citizenship (still pending, because of issues described below) and kind of exploded into a full blown interest.

I've found TONS of info on my Abruzzese ancestors through the LDS.

The other side of the family is from the Comune di Campagna. I am finding NOTHING there. I know my GGF's date of birth from his WWII draft card ("old man's draft") and have verified it with my great-uncle, his only living son. I have emailed the Comune three times and I have never received a response. Searching all over the web and ancestry.com (full subscrip) I find nothing from Campagna.

I am open to any suggestions. Finding my GGF's birth certificate will
A) open up that whole family line for research
B) give me the LAST document needed to secure my Italian citizenship

My info is this:
Carmine Iorio, son of Antonio & Paolina Iorio. Born 3 Dec 1892 in Campagna. Siblings: Michele, Gennaro, Giuseppina, Vita, and Assunta. Arrived to New York in 1909, married Anna Maria Adelizzi (also born 1892 in Campagna, of parents Alfonso and Cecilia) in 1914. I have a lot of the American records, but nothing from Italy.

If anyone has any suggestions, I am all ears!

If anyone has local access to these records, know that they are very valuable to me and I am open to all sorts of arrangements.
