searching Pasqualin family

Post by douglas_sm »

Hello,

I'm searching a long time already, the location of Birth of my great grandfather "Angelo Pasqualin", born in Itay at 1848 or 1849.
He arrives in Brazil in 1878 with 29 years. He comes alone and single, and in the list of passengers of the ship there was information that he was born in province of Treviso.
On the marriage certificate (which occurred in 1880 in Brazil), i got the name of his parents: Antonio Pasqualin and Regina Sartoretto (or Sartonatti or variations)

I requested a search of military records from Treviso, but nothing was found.

I'm running out of clues. Someone here in the forum is a descendant of Antonio Pasqualin or have any tips?

Thanks,
Douglas Pasqualin

Sartoretto is a surname popular in this Communes of Treviso province:
Vedelago
Castelfranco Veneto
Trevignano
Salgareda
Treviso

Pasqualin is very popular in all Treviso province; the main rilevance are in:

Cessalto

San Polo di Piave
Vittorio Veneto
Castelfranco Veneto
Santa Lucia di Piave
Refrontolo
Monastier di Treviso
Treviso
Carbonera

etc...
considering that the civil records starting from 1871 or later in this area, without know the right commune and the right church where your ancestor was baptized, it is a bit hard the search... regards,

Hello suanj,

Yes, it is very difficult to research, I've thought about quitting several times. I do not find clues to where he was born. But you helped me with information on where the surname Sartoretto is popular . It helps a lot.

Thank you,
Douglas
