Help finding pmonte's family

A user asking for help
How do I get started in finding information about the family? Carmine Monte was born in Italy, married Rose (Pantuso ? ) there. They had Salvadore and I think Another child there. They then went to Brazil and had Frand and another child. Then I think they tried to come to America but Carmine was I'll, so they ended up in Canada. At some point Rose became a Cimino and lived in Ameria, New York I think and had Fannie and Jimmy.

Heres what I have so far Carmine Monte born abt 1880 in Cozensa Italy
wifes name Rosina Pantini or Pantusi looks like that on the Canada border crossing heres the records I dug up so far....

If you check page two for birth location it says Cozensa but below it says Yorkshire

Pam do you know where the settled in the States and Brazil ? How old was Rosina his wife?

I don't know anything about Rose other than what I have already told you. It seems like they lived in New York around New York City. As for Brazil I know it was a well known bigger city, I'll have to find out and get back to you.

Heres another ship manifest with Rosina birthdate 1888 and the kids Cecilio 14 Omsonetta 12 and Maria 8 Salvatore 3. Looks like Rosina had the first child at about 14yrs old. Could someone check on the spelling of Rosina last name on the ships manifest page 1 and page 2 the place of birth of the family

Oh my goodness, I have never heard of the first two children! I have heard of Mary and Salvadore (Sal). Are the first two girl ar boy names? And does Yorksire mean Carmine or Rose was born in England? I am still trying to find out where in Brazil they lived, Frank Monte was born there June 5 1904 or 1905.

Cecilio male, Omsonetta female could be Antonietta I think I dont know about the Yorkshire thing it might be just the next persons lines info.

I just learned that the family thinks Frank was born In Rio De Janeiro. Thank you for all of this information, it is mind blowing. Thanks to all who have or are helping with this search!

Looks like the records for Comune di Spezzano Grande,Cosenza are in Comune di Spezzano della Sila, Cosenza according to Family Search Library here is the records available 1866-1910 birth,death marriage records

Looked last night found this on Carmine his death record he died in Port Arthur
Canada April 16 1917 of Typhoid fever

Francesco Pantuso and her mother Maria Brancati and her 2nd husband name was
Antonio Cimino married Feb 15 1919 in Port Arthur Canada
