found NY passenger list - now what?

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

found NY passenger list - now what?

Post by danielle1118 »

I believe I found the NY passenger list for my family. They are Giuseppe DeCellis and Anna Marie Ricigliano. They arrived June 28 1888 on the ship Bolivia. Their ages are Giuseppe 54 and Anna Marie 50 and the ship port was Naples. My question is where do I go from here? I haven't been able to find naturalization paperwork on them. There is also a Gian listed as 15. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, Danielle.

The question is, where do you want to go? Are you interested in your genealogy, or are you seeking Italian citizenship?
