My Grandfather Died in the Italian ARMY during WWI. He died in November 1918 of the Spanish Flu. His body was never sent home. Trying to find out where he is buried. His Name was Guissepe Donvito, he was from Bari, from Gioia del Colle. He was married to Giulia Milano. Mothers name was Maria Domenica Speranza. I have his death certificate dated 1919, its written in Italian and I cannot read it. Can anyone help me find out his buried place.

Thank you both, this means so much to me. My mother searched before her death and could not find him. My grandmother was never told where he was buried. He died when my mother was 6 months old. She was always so sad, for never getting to know him or find his grave.

My grandfather, Vito Donvito and the woman he married, Laura Bianco, were born in Bari or nearby. They emigrated to the US after they got married. I’m interested in any information on Donvito’s in the Bari area. His father & grandfather were apparently Giuseppe and Carlo Antonio Donvito.
