I am trying to find any info on Natale Benassi from Tuscany may have two wives, 1st Annunziata Vannoni had two sons, Alfonso born 1902 and Arturo born 1894, married Maria Vanni 1907 in Pievepelago, Modena then came to Scotland between 1907 & 1909 where further children were born. Also his brother Pietro born 1871 came to Scotland with his wife Domenica Bagatte. Any help or info would be apreciated.

The declaration of the birth at the official was made by Modesta Pieracci, age 40, housekeeper, who was present at the moment of the birth, instead of the father of the baby being him absent from home due to the country jobs...

it's a "legal document" , in concrete terms it's a declaration made by 5 witnesses , them both stated that Giovanni Natale Benassi lived for seven years in England before 1907, to work and that during that period he didn't married. One of the witnesses stated that he lived for all the seven years abroad with Giovanni Natale.
It's a declaration of "unmarried status"

Hi all,

I wonder could you please explain this info that you all have researched.
Natale Benassi is my great great grandfather; his daughter Assunta Benassi is my great grandmother. Me and my family visit Pievepelago each year as we still have Benassi family there.

Could you please explain this two wives thing, as I have never heard of it and am trying to research my family history further.
