In search of birth record for Antonio Messina - Palermo, Sic

Post by nj1pyt »

Hello all,

I am in search of a birth record for my great great grandfather. My grandfather believes he (my GGGF) is from Palermo, but we are not sure if he is from the Province or the commune. My great uncle says he believes our family is from "Portacello", but I have not been able to find any information.

Here's some info. that may be helpful:

Antonio Messina
DOB: August 3, 1868
Believed to have immigrated around 1889/90.
Parents: Joseph (Giuseppe) Messina & Maria Busalacchi

Thanks so much for any assistance you can provide!
