I am looking for roots to my last name. I was able to trace it back so far to My GG Parents James Pomatto and Antoinette Giordano. Any help would be appreciated. My Grandparents resided in PA, USA. I am not able to find anything on the NET so far past my GG parents. Please Help

Laura great finds!!! Looks like Giacomo Pomatto had a brother named Lorenzo who he was going to meet on the shipmanifest also he looks like he was single when he came over did they marry in PA?

You can go to your local Family History Library which has Civil registration of births, banns, marriages, deaths from Rivarolo Canavese, Torino, Italy. You can get the info you seek on Giacomo Pomatto to get his parents names and info you would need the film of Nati 1874-1890 (BIRTHS 1874-1890)Family History Library film# 2140768

And Yes, I noticed that he had at least a brother named Lorenzo and maybe also a sister named Teresa, found a 1908 arrival, she stated that she was leaving her father Michele in Rivarolo, Giacomo's first son was named Michele, Lorenzo's first son was named Michele too, so I think that possibly they were siblings...

1911 arrival manifest for Lorenzo Pomatto, his mwife Vittoria and son Michele. Lorenzo stated that his nearest relative in Italy was his father Michele
