Filippo and Gaetano in Sicily

Filippo and Gaetano in Sicily

I found my great granddmother's baptism record and it had her father as being from Gaetano and mother from Filippo. I can find nothing on these 2 places by searching online. I had always seen records showing them both from Prizzi. The baptism was in Prizzi so they must be very nearby. Maybe they have blended into Prizzi since then?

Without seeing the record I can not say for certain, but it appears that what you are reading are the names of the fathers of the parents (grandfathers)... :D

[father's name] "di Gaetano" which means "son of Gaetano"
[mother's name] "di Filippo" which means "daughter of Filippo"

That could be. If I post it would you see if you can tell if that is the case? I asked someone to translate that I thpought was able to but they could have made a mistake on that. The parents are supposed to be Pasquale Bellina and Giuseppa Rumore so if there is another name added on I would be very confused.

Maria Carmela Bellina, born the day before at 11 pm, daughter of Salvatore and Giuseppa Rumore (daughter of Gaetano), was baptized by the priest De Cutrono on 16 [of the same month]. The godmather was Antonina Greco daughter of Filippo, unmarried

Well, it looks like this post doesn't belong in the "locations in Italy" section now that I see these are names and not locations. Thanks for all the help.
