LUBERTO Family, Puglia

Post by shelby4178 »

Hi everyone!

I am having a bit of trouble in finding information on my Mother's Grandfather LUBERTO FILIPPO.
It is believed that he served in WW1, horseman, possibly a General.
Unfortunately, my relatives in Italy (those living) aren't of any help. :?

The information that I have is that he was originally from Cutrofiano, Lecce Apuglia. Date of birth unknown but I am guessing mid 1800s :?:

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Michelle :D
I am looking to find my Italian ancestors.

Send e-mail to www.comune.cutrofiano.le.it Att:Stato Civile and request birth certificate with date or approximate date of birth. Request ESTRATTO DI NASCITA (long form)
For your info www.tuttitalia.it/puglia/93-cutrofiano can give you town background information.

Michelle
Any of the email addresses with "pec" in them are for official govt business only and will bounce back to you as undeliverable. There is only one listed which doesn't have "pec." I would try that one. Hopefully your email will then be passed on to the appropriate office

Now that my suggestion was JINXED should you get a reject then send your request to ANAGRAFE@COMUNE.CUTROFIANO.LE.IT

The problem with the gene pool is that there is often no lifeguard and genealogy is where you confuse the dead and irritate the living.........Cheers!

Since you mentioned he served in the Italian Army in WW1 you might want to send an e-mail to the provincial State Archives at the provincial capital in Lecce AS-LES@BENICULTURALI (SEZIONE MILITARE) ATT: Dott(essa) Analisa Bianco and request his Registro Di Ruolo which will contain details of his military service.
