Re: Translation please for Francesco Puccella
Hello Frank!
The quality of the image is very poor.
Here is what I see:
Side notation: Looks like 3 marriages...
Francesco Pucella married Maria Cusinello(sp?)
Act #23 ... 14 September 1899
Francesco married (can not make out bride's name) in Farindola on 12 August 1915
Francesco married Domenica Costantini(sp?) in Farindola 2 April 1918.
Record #61
Dated 6 May 1870 at 9 PM at the town office in Farindola
appeared Angelodeo(sp?) Pucella, son of deceased Marcantonio and of living Antonia Fragassi; age 35, peasant farmer residing in Farindola, to present a male child who he declares was born on 6 May of the current year at 7 PM, to his wife Maria di Gregorio, age 34, residing with him at the place in this town of Farindola at contrada Vielli(sp?); and this son was given the name FRANCESCO.
To witness this declaration were also present Domenico Pucella, son of deceased Vincenzo, age 47, peasant farmer; and Luigi Pucella, son of deceased Antonio, age 29, peasant farmer; both residing in Farindola.

Re: Translation please for Francesco Puccella
I think the third letter in Maria's surname is a t and that the top part of the letter is faded out. Catinello is a surname found in Pescara Province.

It does look like an s in that notation. I just tried to locate the 1899 marriage record, but the records jump from the 1898 publications to 1900. 1899 is, unfortunately, missing.

from T-Francesco married (can not make out bride's name) in Farindola on 12 August 1915
I think the bride in the second notation is Mariannina Giancatarino

Re: Translation please for Francesco Puccella
My first instinct with marriage #1 was CASINELLO ...
On the second marriage... I think the bride may be GIOVANNANTONIA MARINUCCI

EDIT:
Hi Erudita. Just saw your post. DEFINITELY a possibilty -

Re: Translation please for Francesco Puccella
Hi T
I meant to spell the surname with an "e" in it as in Giancaterino, as that is what I see in this record and also in the indices for the town. It can be found in the current phonebook with the letter "a" after the "t." I thought perhaps we could locate a copy of the bride's birth record since the 1915 marriage records are not online. I really think the surname comes first in the notation. Also I see a letter "a" before the letter "t," and not a letter "n," which is one of the reasons I eliminated the first name you suggested. The first name I suggested may or may not be correct.

This is interesting. Maybe someone who is able to communicate in French can reply.
