On the 5th of April 1811, appeared Antonio Ciampo (I see an "o" here), age 27, peasant farmer residing in Rapone at Strada Santa Maria, to present a female child born at 8 AM on the 2nd of April, from his legitimate marriage with Giovanna Savone, his wife, peasant farmer residing at said Strada.
Witnesses to the recording of the birth were: Vito Ciampo, son of deceased Nicola, 32, peasant farmer residing in Strada Santa Maria; and Maestro Angiolo Torre, 42, carpenter residing in said strada.
The child was given the name Rosa Maria.

On the name, Tessa, Ciamp"a" and Ciamp"o". Would they be different families? Or just a name that gets spelled different over time? I have a my 4th great grandfather, Antonio Ciampa, married to Giovanna Savone. I have a few records with her name as Giovanna and a few with Maria Giovanna. Could they be different people? Get so confusing!

I am looking thru the records from early 1800's and find many spelled Ciampo and not many with Ciampa. But, the family names matched for the most part on this record.

Changes are common over time and within families.
If the other information fits, you probably have the right families! :-)
