What does it say after Rosa Sansobrino di ..(abbreviation)? Tiro???

Clemente Antonino Casimiro Cotugno:
Born Sarconi, 2? September 1793. Parents were Domenico Cotugno, son of Francesco, and Rosa Sansevrino (says Sansobrino), daughter of ? ?

Thank you for taking a look, Livio, and for confirming the date of birth. Hopefully there is another way of finding out who her parent was. I haven't been able to find her death record - some years are missing.

Wondering if it could be a reference to a place name and not the name of Rosa's parent.

I was wondering that too, Erudita. Initially I thought the surname was Tiro and the abbreviation before it was the given name. Then after looking through the allegati at other records, for comparisons, it seemed like the words after Sansobrino were "di da Tira"?

Here is a death record for a Rosa Sansobrino in 1845 in Sarconi, at age 70.
Her parents are listed as Francesco Sansobrino and Angela Maria Lo Ponte (both deceased).
However, there is no mention of a husband or her marital status :-(

Thank you so much for looking, Tessa. I appreciate it. :D I do already have this record saved to my computer as a “possible,” but because there is no mention of a husband, (like you have said), I can't be sure this is her. Rosa's husband Domenico Cotugno died in 1804. I suppose it could be that the men reporting the death were unaware of her marital status???

I'm so pleased that I have this allegati for their son Clemente's second marriage, because I at least have been able to establish that Domenico's father was Francesco. I'm at that nit-picky stage at the moment of trying to tie up loose ends, which includes taking a closer look at allegati – the church records, with their abbreviations, always seem to take me four times longer to decipher and interpret!!!

"di detta Terra"

After going through more attachments, and seeing the same phrase appear in other Church Extracts, I am pretty sure that the wording is “di detta Terra” referring to “that Comune”, Sarconi.

Examples:

Correct?
