postage?

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

postage?

Post by maddief »

I'm requesting my grandfather's birth certificate from Italy. I hear the process can be sped up if one supplies postage. How does one do this? I'd appreciate any advice.

You can obtain an international reply coupon from your local post office (cost $1.75).

Also include a self address return envelope & write request in Italian.

Suggest getting birth act or extract, not the certificate. Act/extract will provide more info.

hope this helps.
