Looking for Criscuolo in Tufo

Post by oleynek »

Hi. I'm looking for information about my maternal great-grandmother. Her name on her immigration papers is Regina Criscuolo, born in 1844 +/- 1 year. Her last residence when she immigrated to the US was Tufo, Italy.

Any help would be soooooo greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Thanks so much for your effort!!! But, she was born in Italy (Tufo, I think) in 1844 and came to America in 1910 on the Ducca DiGenoa.

Thanks again!!!

Ooops... yes, she was married to Luigi Florio, who I don't believe ever came to America. It appears as if she came here after he died in Italy. I don't really know.

Thanks for everything!

Kristina,

I know she had citizenship here by 1914, so I assume she stayed. I'm hoping to get any other information about her. Her parents' names and any information about her husband. That kind of stuff.

Thanks!

Hi Sue,

To obtain Regina's Italian records you can write to the following address.

Ufficio dello Stato Civile
Comune di Furore
84010 Furore (SA)
Italy

Correspondence should be in Italian, include a self addressed return envelope, a copy of your photo ID, & an international reply coupon (obtain from your post office-covers the cost of the return postage).

Here is a link to a form letter that will translate it into Italian.

Hope it helps.

My best guess would be the Bronx, NY. That's where their entire family settled.
