I am looking for information regarding Pasquale D'Alessando, my mom's uncle, who was born in Corleto Monforte (Salerno) in 1885 and married to a Antonia Basile. He emigrated to America where he died around 1920. He had 5 children: Raffaela (b. 1912 in Luzern, PA); Pasquale (b. 1914 in Luzern,PA); Gaetano (b. 1916 in Luzern, PA); John Diego (b. 1918 in Elizabeth, NJ); and Silvia or Sylvia Sabina (b. 1920 in Elizabeth, NJ). My mom's desire is to meet any survivors from this family. She is 74 now and she wishes her dream come true. My mom lives in Canada and her mom, Nicolina D'Alessandro, was Pasquale's sister. Is the info you first provided still correct? Did he die in 1920 or later? I did find a Sivestro but he died much later then 1920...

Since I am new to this kind of reasearch, I have a question. Established that I have found the record (1920 Census) of my family, how do I find further records. For instance, Silvestro died in 1920 most likely in New Jersey. Is there a record of it? And if so where and how I can get it? Hence, how do I get to find records regading some vitals of his children. I tried to find Rafaela, Pasquale, Gaetano and John, but other than the Census in 1920, they seem to have disappeared. Any help on this one?

Since the 1930 census is the last one released to the public, it's hard to find where people moved to....my dad would look in phone books for our surname in every town we stopped in & we did a lot of traveling while I was growing up......Do write those letters!

EDIT: You may also want to check the name Dialexandra.....just found a Silvestro Dialexandra b. 1889 Italy & a Raffaele Basile b. 1882 Italy living in Hazelton, Luzerne, PA in 1920.. Raffaele possible brother to Antonia??
