Caronno Corbellaro & Lozzo in Varese Province

Post by aristides »

Does anyone know if the following communes still exist in Varese Province: Caronno Corbellaro or Lozzo? They appear on family birth documents from the early 1800s. They should be near Albizzate. Thanks for your help.

I think you're right, Nonna. I saw that on the last link I posted, too but I didn't see the one for Caronno Corbellaro.

You were correct. The document does have Lozza as the location. I believe that both Lozza and Caronno Corbellaro are frazioni in the commune of Castiglione Olona. Can anyone verify this? Thanks so much for your help. You guys are great.

Paul..

Not sure which internet browser you are using but if you're using internet explorer, you can go to the left side of this screen and click on Locations in Italy under the Databases heading. Type in Lozza and search. It says that Lozza is a township. You will also have the option of viewing a map of the area. You can do this will any town you wish to search.

Let us know how you make out. :D

Lozza is a town, municipality near Castiglione Olona; Caronno Corbellaro, instead is a hamleth of Castiglione Olona municipality;

hamleths of Castiglione Olona:

Caronno Corbellaro
, Gornate Superiore, Somadeo, San Nazaro, C.na Bisocco, C.na Falcetta, C.na Novate, C.na Villafranca, C.na Bisocco

Saluti.
