Digioia/Cuccio

Post by maryrose »

Antonio Digioia was born sept 1891.. I made a mistake. I found this ...Franceco Cuccio 1820 to 1957 records.. born in Italy arr: NY NY. Parents: Carmelo Cuccio & Maria Micel. Could be right??? I was told many folks from Bari left from Naples. I am sure my moms 1/2 sister has a death cert I just was given by a member of my yahoo genealogy. thanks for any help.
Death cert has Mary Degioia
1930 bronx census has my family with Digeoia/ I am sure cause it lists all 4 girls and my grandmother. He has NA but hers is AL..so it seems she was not naturalized then.

maryrose,

I'm sorry but did I miss a post? Are you trying to reply to another post? If so, you don't need to start a new topic..just scroll down to the post reply icon and click it. Then write your answer and hit submit. All the messages will stay on one thread making it easier to follow. I posted the manifest info you requested in another post..

Here's the link..

Hey :D
Don't worry about it, you're doing great.
You're pretty easy to keep track of
Don't believe immigrants signed anything
on their manifests - don't let his signature
get in your way.
OK?
Valarie :)

I cannot believe there are 64 catholic churches in Bronx and i have called only 12. I appreciate all the help i can get. I wish i had family or friends in NY. I would go and check out old st raymond's cemetery.
