I am looking for family history on Bottego. My grandfather natale had five brothers he left in Italy when he came to the US. I am looking for their names and their children names. Also I an under the impression that Dominico's father's name was Joseph. I would like to verify that and dates of birth. My great grandfather was married abt. 1879.

We can help direct you on how to get your family's records in Italy if you know this information.
Italian records are kept at the town (comune) level.

A quick check of ancestry. com (subscription site)
has several census records for a Natale Bottego
Most of them indicate he was born in France abt 1888
This record has a birth location of Albareto
(province of Parma, Emilia-Romagna region?)
Does it belong to your grandfather?

25 Dec 1888 in Albareto
has several census records for a Natale Bottego
Most of them indicate he was born in France abt 1888
This record has a birth location of Albareto
(province of Parma, Emilia-Romagna region?)
Does it belong to your grandfather?

Manifest for Fredrico Bottego, possilbe brother of Natale. Line 2.....states father as Domenico from Allatero (can not find town by that name)
going to his brother Natale Bottego in Brooklyn.

In your post you refer to Domenico and Joseph....what is their relationship to Natale?
Are there any additional details you might be able to give such as approximate years of
births for the brothers, what town or province Natale might have been from, possible names
for Natale's brothers etc. Any additional info you might be able to supply may be able
useful for other forum members to help you in your search.
Let us know if the manifest is a possibility or if this might be a brother you already now about.
