Anyone know anything about the surname Monago...heritage is in Reggio di Calabria.

Monago is not a surname listed inthe Italian surname dictionary and is an imported name rather than local in origin since the surname Monago stems from Valladolid in Northern Spain and extends to South America and other countries including Italy. =Peter=

Is it possible that the name is Monaco. This is a common name from Calabria
