I am looking for Perrotta's from Caserta?

Post by sophia357 »

My paternal grandmother was Pasqueline DeCerbo..she married my grandfather Luigi Perrotta. Their oldest son, Dominic Anthony Perrotta was my father. They migrated to Pulaski PA or a place called Lowellville Ohio. I am looking for any family or links.

In order to find relatives from Caserta (Caserta is the provincial capital and thereare many towns and villages within its boundry and records are in the place of origin) and if they are from the City of Caserta then records and documentation can be found there. If they were born in a surrounding town or village then the records would be there. Please advsie? =Peter=

Hello!
We may be able to help.
As Peter stated, Italian record research is possible if you know the town in Italy where your family originated
Often it can be found on US records.

For example, is this your grandfather's WWI card & passport application?
Thanks!

Wow!!! This is amazing! To tonij, yes! it would be great to find out more about the older ones. I did try to communicate with a lawyer in New Castle by the name of Perrotta, but he did not respond a second time..he did once. What can you tell me, do you want only to do a private message? I am new to this as you can see. Sandy

To Valerie, Yes!!! This is him! OMG...this means that I can look with more accuracy in the village he lived in. All my one aunt used to say is Caserta...that is all she seemed to know. I am going to look further in the links that you gave me. Then post questions regarding Perrottas in the villages?? Thank you so much Sandy

Hi Sandy :D !
I'm so glad we could find records with your family's town on them.
Here's an interesting 1900 census
Names are badly mangled
It may be family
Hard to tell without knowing when & where your grandfather got married

Please post questions when you're ready!
(Sunday is usually a pretty slow day on the forum, things should pick up tomorrow)

I'm very new at this so I hope this reaches you. I've been looking at my grandfather's Italian Birth Certificate which lists a Guiseppe Perrotta as one of the people verifying the information. My grandfather's name is Giovanni Adduce (Aducci) and is from Camigliano, Caserta, Italy. I wonder if there is any relation. When my grandfather came to the US, he lived in Youngstown, Ohio and the names of Hillsville and Lowellville have come up before.
