Hi Members,
I am happy to find and join this group!
We're looking for someone who may be able to recognize or translate the mother's name of the baby on this birth act. I read the first name as Filomena, but cannot determine the name after it or anything close. I'd appreciate any help or ideas!
Thanks,
ditullio
Unknown name on birth act from Avellino
Re: Unknown name on birth act from Avellino
Hi and welcome to the forum,
the name after Filomena sounds like Clemente . Letter "t" is unusual : in the next row you can read "abitazione" (home) but the letter "[/i]t" is like an "l"
Best regards

I'm searching lost relatives and descendant of my greatgrandfather Vincenzo Genualdi (or Gennaldi or Genuardi) and my greatgrandmother Concetta Davola (their sons: Angela, Carmela, Antonio, Bartolomeo, Ernesto, Simone, Riccardo, Maria) went in Chicago,Ill., and New Orleans, in 1880-1920 from Sicily. Other family related : Jacobucci or Jacopucci (from Central Italy).

Thank you for the full translation, Lucap! We didn't know the name of her father either and with this, now we have an additional generation back.
