I am wondering if I qualify for Italian citizenship through my grandfather. My grandfather naturalized about 3 months after my father was born.

Yes, if you have supporting documents to prove this, then you should have a clear path ahead.

Just ensure that on your father's US birth certificate (and marriage record) his parents' names match the spelling of their names on their Italian vital records. If you can manage that and obtain your Grandfather's naturalization record, you should be good to go.
