Italian Newspaper Obituaries

Post by mahill510 »

Does anyone know where I can get copies of obituaries for Barletta and Bologna?

I’m looking for deaths of family members around 1910 – 1920?

I've seen web links for deaths in the US, but nothing for Italy.

Thanks

Mark

Obituaries are not customary in Italy from what I gather and consequently you might be better off writing to the Municipal offices in Barletta and Bologna and request death certificates if you know the full names and approximate dates or year of death.

You can go to www.ask.com and read up on "Obituaries in Italy". =Peter=
