DiMaria's of Terrasini

Post by minerisms »

I am looking for any information on Aurelio James DiMaria or Philip Paul DiMaria who I believe came from Terrasini, Palermo, Sicily. I believe their father's name was Joseph and their mother's name was Mary Vinces. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Suanj, thank you so much for this information. I had some of this, but I did not have the ship records for Giuseppe or Phillip and these help to confirm what I only suspected. I really appreciate your help and quick research. Now that we are fairly sure they are from Terrasini, do you know the best way to find out more about the family, like Giuseppe's wife and father?

the best way is to search in Terrasini civil records by LDS microfilms:
Registri dello stato civile di Terrasini (Palermo), 1820-1902 Terrasini (Palermo). Ufficio dello stato civile
Births, marriages, deaths, banns, miscellaneous documents; supplements to births, marriages, deaths from the civil registration office in Terrasini (formerly Terrasini Favarotta), Palermo, Italy. Text in Italian.
