To members on the Board, please refresh my memory about naming conventions as they once existed (before being "illegal").
First-born son is named after.......his paternal grandfather. Correct?
Second-born son is named after.......his maternal grandfather. Correct?
Must grandparents be living at the time of either of these births for same-names
to be given??
Can a first son carry names of both the paternal and maternal grandfathers?
Under what circumstances?
I'm guessing the third-born son is named after an uncle? paternal??
Thanks for walking me through this again!

Thanks, Biff. The article is thorough in its explanation and, even more importantly, describes clearly how the researcher can be derailed with recurring names and "assumptions!" Great refresher! Noel
