ZANIN and TONEATTO from Flumignano, Talmassons

Post by Irmi »

Hello to Italy -

I am trying to help a friend whose grandfather ANTONIO ZANIN was born in Flumignano, Talmassons 14.1.1884. He came to Germany as a young man, married a German woman and stayed here. One of his daughters is still alive.

Antonios parents were Giovanni Zanin, who was a farmer in Flumignano (Nr. 26) and Karolina Toneatto.

That is all my friend knows about her Italian family. I hope someone can help us to get more information!

Many regards from Oldenburg (Northern Germany)

You have a number of options available........
write to the town of origin and request an extract of the birth record which will list addidtional infos.......
you can also request a stato di famiglia storico which will list all members of a family, past and present, including those who moved away or died.......
and last but not least, using the following website you can find the addresses of persons carrying said surname and send out potential relative letters. enter surname in cognome and the town in dove and click on cerca......this will then bring up all surnamed persons and their addresses.
http://www.paginebianche.it/index.html
for potential relative letter in Italian.........

Good Luck....

Hello again -

Today I got an answer from Talmassons, but unfortunately they only told me what I knew before - the birth date of Antonio Zanin and the names of his parents.

They told me to write to the parish priest of Flumignano for more information. Can you please tell me : is it better writing in English or in German?

Many regards from Irmi

Is better in italian language, because the priest do not have many time for traslations...normally.... and you can request only some act

al gent.mo Parroco della
Parrocchia Ss. Pietro e Paolo
33030 Talmassons (UD) - Flumignano
Italia
tel +39 0432 766318

Thank you for your offer, Suanji! Would you be so kind to translate this text?:

Hello from Germany -

I write to you because I want to help my neighbour ANNE KUEHN finding her ancestors. Annes grandfather was ANTONIO ZANIN from Flumignano, Talmassons. He was born there 14. Januar 1884. His parents were GIOVANNI ZANIN and CAROLINA TONEATTO. The family lived in house Nr. 26 in Flumignano.

We would be very glad to get the marriage record of Antonios parents as well as the birth and death records of GIOVANNI and CAROLINA ZANIN.

Maybe it would be also possible to find out if ANTONIO ZANIN had any brothers or sisters?

Thank you so much for your help!

Kind regards from Germany
