Northern and Southern Italy

Post by Mucbeani »

Where in Italy is the dividing point between north and south. Is it like here in the states where we have the mason dixon line. My family on my mothers side are from Pizzone. Is that considered north or south?

Thanks,

Mike

The Italy regions are in: north, center(hoping exact translation), south. Pizzone is in Isernia province, Molise region; Molise region is center Italy.. suanj

Hi Mike. You probably have your answer by now, but just in case you do not, my grandfather came from Pizzone. On the ship manifest Pizzone is shown as "southern Italian".
