Angelo Raffaele Stoppa

Post by Delyse66 »

Trying to find out what happened to Angelo Raffaele Stoppa. He was born in Turin in 1890, to Giuseppe Stoppa and Maria Bessone, but I have no idea what happened to him. I have found an Angelo Stoppa arriving in Boston, Massachusetts in October 1910, but don't know if this is the same person.

Can you post the arrival manifest?

Also - there are 8 listings in the Italian Phone Book (landline) for surname STOPPA
Perhaps a relative among them?

EDIT TO ADD:

It appears that Angelo Stoppa (son of Giuseppe) died in 1892.
Here is the index of deaths for 1892. The record is #887 in Part I.

I have not located the death act as yet.

Thanks Tessa. Are you able to tell me anything more about Luigi and Giovanni Stoppa who both died in Turin? Did they marry? I know all about Celestino (my grandfather) and Carlo who both came to England, but I would love to fill in the two missing links.

Can you or anyone help?

Thank you.

The dates of their deaths (in your other post) are 1947 and 1962. You will need to write to Torino to request these. The records should indicate if they were married.

Meanwhile, I would suggest again that you write to potential relatives in Torino (Turin) as posted above :-)
