Looking for info on my Sicilian Grandfather - Salvatore Geraci

Hi I am looking information on my Grandfather as I have such little information about him.

His name was Salvatore Geraci.

I have been told he was born at the turn of the century (around 1900)
I am guessing he was born in Vallelunga Pratameno.
During World War II he worked in the factories in Vienna Austria.

I believe we are connected to the Loiacono family just not sure how.

If anyone could help me where to research about him, it would be most appreciated.

This appears to be the birth record of Calcedonia Cassenti, Salvatore's mother, in 1874.

Father: Carmelo Cassenti, 48, borgese, son of deceased Antonino.
Mother: Filippa Messina, 40, his legitimate wife.
Child born on 18 February 1874 and given the name Calcedonia.
There is a notation of a second marriage to Loreto Ricotta in 1939, and a notation of Calcedonia's death on 19 December 1940 in Vallelunga.

Thank you so much for helping me.


I do know he returned home to Sicily from Vienna due to the nazi's going to Sicily.

He was married and already had 4-5 children he had his WWII tryst with my grandmother.

Are there ways to find immigration records of Sicilians going to Vienna Austria?
