Possible 1930 Census for Anthony Maimone Family
Bronx, Bronx, New York
942 East 221st Street
Page 1, lines 97-100
Antonio Maimone, age 44, born Italy, carpenter
Mary?, wife, age 42, born Italy
James, son, age 22, born Italy
Louis, son, age 20, born Italy
http://img243.imageshack.us/img243/1710 ... 920zu7.jpg
Page 2, lines 1 through 5
Joseph, son, age 18, born New York
Mamie, daughter, age 14, born New York
Santina, daughter, age 12, born New York
Salvatore, son, age 9, born New York
Frank, son, age 6, born New York
Marian, daughter, age 4 months, born New York
http://img484.imageshack.us/img484/2584 ... 202cu0.jpg
The 1920 census and the 1930 census might be two different families since Louis is a son not on the 1920 census and Antonio's occupation has changed from a tailor to a carpenter.
I'm still looking for information on Francesco Maimone.
Maria, did your great grandfather marry someone in the United States, and if so do you know that person's name?

It is possible that Concetta is the sister of John Carmelo Maimone mentioned in the Nutley New Jersey obituary.

Re: family maimone
I've exhausted the resources I have available trying to locate information on the Maimone family in Monmouth county. I wish I could have located more.
Is there another member who lives in Monmouth/Ocean county New Jersey who can assist Maria in locating possible relatives? I know she'd appreciate the help. Thanks.

Re: family maimone
I live in the town next to Little Silver. I took a ride today to find 125 Markam Place. Now there are stores at what was once that address. There are no Maimones now living in Little Silver, but this was a welll known family in town in 50's to 80's. The Maimone Brothers built many houses in the area. I am sending you a private message with names and addresses of possible relations. If I can be of any further help, let me know.
Re: family maimone
Hi,
i don't know that store was, i have got only an address.
But these builders are still alive?
Thanks

Biff,
I thought I had an email address for Maria, but I don't. If you have one, can you send a pm to Lorenzo. I am sure this is the right family.

Re: family maimone
MJ,
Unfortunately, I don't have an email address for Maria. I really hope she checks the board again. I'd give anything to locate any relatives in the old country.

Re: family maimone
I believe the Francesco Maimone refered to in these posts might be my grandfather. He was born in 1900 and was one of five children of Salvatrice Genovese and Salvatore Maimone of Messina Sicily. The children were Giovani, Melina, Luciano, Graziella and Francesco. In 1850ish the family moved to Syracusa. Francesco married Lucia Ricupuro and had three children - Silvia, Salvatore and Joe. They lived in NY. He then went back to Sicily after the death of his wife and married Nunzia Capellani and had three additional children Antonio(died young), Salvatore and Rita. I am Salvatore's daughter and grew up in North Jersey. Fifteen or so years ago my family moved to Oregon where we currently reside.
