Erudita, what is Castellana and Carcarelli? I have noticed that those are appearing in many of the translations that I have gotten. Can the Domina's for the 2 places be related.

Thanks.

I went on the website for the town of Castellana Sicula, which today borders on Petralia Sottana. On that website, I found the following information-

for 200 years, Castellana and Calcarelli were frazioni (hamlets) of the town of Petralia Sottana. Basically this means that they were on the outskirts of the main town, as far as I know, but were under the authority of Petralia Sottana. In 1948, Castellana Sicula became an independent town. Calcarelli (spelled with the ell in it and not as in your records), is now a frazione or hamlet of the town of Castellana Sicula.

Leroy, it was common for areas which were once part of one town to eventually became their own towns with their own local authorities and offices. Borders changed over the years, even in other regions of Italy.
