Frigento Italy - Finding a location

Hello everyone,

I'm looking to see if anyone could help provide some guidance on finding a specific house that was my Great-Grandfathers in Frigento Italy.

The location that I have is "Contrada Roseto Number 6" in Frigento Italy. Is there a way to correlate that information to a current location in Frigento?

There currently is a "via Roseto" in Frigento, although it doesn't show up on google maps, or on any other map on the internet. I have found references to people currently living on this street in the town, but I can't say that it is the same as the Contrada Roseto referenced in these older documents. The internet maps are simply not detailed enough. You may have to write to the town to inquire about it.

For your info, Pippo, one of the volunteers on this forum, explained in the thread below what the word "contrada" means. Its definition seemed to vary depending on the part of Italy in which it was found.
