Mole Of Genoa

Okay,

I have to put my two cents in. A mole is a pier, dock, fortress or fortification in a harbor. Is it possible that Joseph was born on a ship, the Pomescinto, docked in the harbor of Genoa?

I don't know what the word is but I tend to exclude Pomescinto

Thanks for that Peter, my JJ Bush was born in 1815, but might be a link somewhere

Hmm the only Bush I can find on there is Edgar William Bush, b 1878 on Crusader

Did you just put in for Bush surname and leave out Jospeh John? I get 1871 and 1873 using his full name. =Peter=

I have discounted that person, so it's back to trying to decipher the writing on the census.
I have emailed a couple of churches in Genoa, in case they hold the records.
