place of death of Antonio Ciarlo

Post by westlakemom »

I have an ancestor named Antonio Ciarlo born 22 April 1697 Pontelandolfo, and died 1764 Presidio di Napoli, Napoli. Does this imply he had something to do with the Italian Army at the time of his death?

Also Angelella Polletta, born 26 April 1641 in Pontelandolfo, died 1691 "Villa in Campagnia alle Macchie, Pontelandolfo." What does Villa in Compagnia alle Macchie mean?

Thank you in advance.

Can you post the documents you're referring to here?

Is there anyone out there who knows what it means when you die at the Presideo in Naples. Was this man a soldier or a prisoner?
