Hi Emmy,
Yes, Suanj has certainly pushed my search to the limits It's very difficult to find the words to thank her, but I am sure she knows how grateful I am. Its taken a lot of hard work and patience, I am sure if she can find my lost cause she can find almost anything with time. Best wishes with ...

Re: My Great Grandfathers and Grandfathers Birth Place
Suanj,
I have been searching the UK BDM today from 1900 to 1923. I have found the death record of a Carmella Gentile who died Atchem Salop, December Quarter 1923, Ref: 6a 773, aged 82. I haven't sent for the certificate yet , but I will do tomorrow. I doubt if it will have any useful information on ...

Re: My Great Grandfathers and Grandfathers Birth Place
Suanj,
If we take his age from the 1901 census which was 34 + 3 years to 1904 making him 37 and not 29 and abstract 17 years that would fit in with the 1891 census where he stated he was 19. Remember he had a daughter in 1904 who was 12 making him 17 when he and Annie had Maria. I don't think he ...

Re: My Great Grandfathers and Grandfathers Birth Place
Hi Suanj,
Did you see something about a brother in law? That would mean his sister was out their!!!!
I will have another look, as I say my eye is not back to normal so I am struggling to see clearly.

Hi Suanj,
I have e mailed you the ships manifest, can you confirm you have received it. It doesn't tell us where he was from in italy, but it has a lot of other information on it I can't read. Have to put it into another program to make it more readable.

Re: My Great Grandfathers and Grandfathers Birth Place
Hi mfjp,
All as I know he played the organ, he wasn't just an organ grinder, although he might have done that, he was also a piano tuner and used to tune and repair the large Fair Ground organs for Pat Colins.

Hi Suanj,
Someone found the following information on the 1891 and 1901 census for me I couldn't access them, possibly putting the wrong information in. Frank A Halpin looks a bit young for there to be a relationship, he would be only 17 in 1904, but whatever the links they are definite and stem ...

Suanj,

Hi Suanj,
I have just been on to the Italian Embassy in Manchester. They were sympathetic, but didn't think they could help, but I will write to them again.
I have had a look in the Chester Archives and found nothing, but I will do another search. I don't think he left a will as he had nothing to ...
