Re: Tucciarone surname

Ok, I think that I may have gotten to the bottom of at least part of this mystery. My mother was born in 1944 and was the youngest Signore child of seven - which may explain why she doesn't remember any other Tucciarones in town. However, my Aunt Clare (b. 1935) does remember the Tucciarone family ...

Re: Tucciarone surname

I forgot to mention http://www.flealess.org/beaver1.html
That is the website for the Beaver County "genweb" page. Not sure exactly what that is, but has a lot of information on the history of the county and various family links. I searched LaValle, Tucciarone and Signore on the surname pages and ...

Re: Tucciarone surname

I found a site that might be helpful in continuing the research on the Tucciarone family in Rochester. We go by counties in Western PA, so Rochester is in Beaver County.

Accordingly, attached it the website of the Beaver County Genealogical Society:

Re: Tucciarone

This is so amazing! My grandfater was Joseph Emil Signore (lived in Rochester from age 5 to age 95). He was named after his uncle - Emil Signore, who was a barber in North Rochester! How are Mary Ricci and Joseph Tucciarone related again? This is very interesting. sue1anne, did you see my longer ...

Re: Tucciarone surname

Wow. I just found the most amazing family history on the web. Its the history of The Andrew Tucciarone family from 1800-1993 - 64 pages! I haven't read it all yet but there are references to Minturno, so we know we're in the right area.

Re: Tucciarone surname

Thank you so much for this website! I was able to search the phone book and think that I might have found my grandmother's sisters in Minturno -- she had maybe two sisters who didn't go to Argentina. I found a Maria Grazia Tucciarone and Assunta Tucciarone there - both were the names of my ...

Re: Tucciarone surname

I'm not sure what Rose's surname was and unfortunately I'm not familiar with the surname LaValla/LaValle.
Interestingly, however, I went to Scauri in 2000 because my husband and I were travelling in Europe. First, Scauri is a really small fishing/resort town that is primarily a vacation spot for ...

Re: Tucciarone surname

I just started doing some casual research on my grandmother's family and I am amazed to find these posts. First, I was born and grew up in Rochester, PA. My mother went to Catholic school and was married in St. Cecilia's. My maternal grandmother was Catherine Tucciarone Signore. She was born in ...

Re: Tucciarone

I'm not sure if this conversation is still alive, but my grandmother was a Tucciarone from Scauri (a small seaside village near Minturno.) Her name was Catherine, born approx. 1907. Her father was Raymond and her mother was Rose. She emigrated to the US in approx. 1927 with my grandfather, Joseph ...
