I still am going crazy over this! I wrote to Pietraperzia, and they finally got back to me saying they could find no relevant records....I'm certain I have found my great grandfather's manifest and also my great great grandfather' but the town of origin do not match

my dad is from Roccasicura, the next town over from Carovilli. I just got back from a 2 week stay there had I read your message earlier I would have done some research for you (alas there was no internet in the town !!!). Anyways I know that in la Rocca there is a bar with the name Scarpitti ...

I finally have my beautiful Italian passport in my hands!
I had my appointment in October 2011 at the Boston Consulate.
By December I had been notified by my comune that I had been added to the AIRE and the Boston Consulate then requested a nulla osta from the Questura della provincia di Foggia ...
