I've a related question.
It appears that the processetti were documented only for a certain time period. For the commune I'm researching, I see them in the mid 1800s. I didn't see any in the later 1800s. Is there a definite set begin/end when these documents were collected?

The advice offered by fellow posters is right on the mark. LDS microfilmed Colledimacine's records at the Archivo di Stato in Chieti, but at that time, the Archivo was missing the years 1866-1899 (they were at Lanciano's Archivo). Subsequently, they were delivered to Chieti, but only after LDS left ...
