According to the 1910 census he immigrated in 1904 (I couldn't find him on the 1920 census) and on the 1930 census he gave his year of immigration as 1906 ...

Thanks very much for your reply. Although the Census and Church records are too early for the timeframe I have, the Civil Records are a fit and a good place to begin. If I can find them there, I'll be able to use the earlier records
