Re: Italian Passport?

If that is the case with Law 379_2000, then our friend could have a decent shot... he should pursue it, but definately in italy, as Chicago is having major problems. this is an exciting angle.

Re: Italian Passport?

it seems our friend here is not eligable for italian citizenship. You cannot get an italian passport without being a citizen. So he must find out if he's eligable. It seems that from the facts that he is, in no way, able to claim italian citizenship. It seems he cannot be a citizen because his great...

Re: find a comune

hmmmm

well when i type in "Gallico" at this website:
http://www.comuni.it/link/index.htm

it doesn't list gallico having a comune.
when you type in "Calabria"
there comes up a comune for Comune di Reggio Calabria (RC).

any thoughts?

find a comune

Hi guys,

I have to write a letter to a comune in Italy.
although, i'm not sure which comune!

My great grandmother was from Gallico (RC),
so which comune, and what's the address that
I write to, to get her birth certificate?

thanks

Re: Cimato

hey Jim,

actually, the naturalization petition is a match
because my great-grandmother was naturalized
through him, and it says her date of naturalization
was Aug. 7 1901

it says he arrived feb 4 1887, is there any ship manifests
matching that?
