Re: D'Angelo from Cesacastina.
If it's the same family, maybe Antonio and Carmine's father, Emidio, were brothers. More questions for mom.......

Re: D'Angelo from Cesacastina.
His father's name was definitely Emidio; I'll ask my mom about Nicodemo or Daniela. Hopefully she might remember if they lived nearby.

The detained page is really interesting. I wonder who Nicodemo might be -maybe a brother of Carmine?

Thank you - that's definitely my next step. Is there a waiting period to rent films; do they need to request them from somewhere else?

Re: D'Angelo from Cesacastina.
No, please, please keep looking!! Brought a tear to my eye - I never thought I'd get so much information so quickly! Sabata is certainly Elisabetta but the draft registration throws me off. I thought he was born in March, and the birthplace doesn't match, but I'll ask my mom about his birthday. (I ...

Re: D'Angelo from Cesacastina.
Wow - can't believe all the information, so quickly!!! The 1920 census is the right family. The oldest boy wouldn't have been alive at that point. (My mom wasn't born yet; the census that I have must be from 1930. Four more children followed - Santina, Louis, Mary and Emidio). The draft registration ...

Re: D'Angelo from Cesacastina.
P.S. I've found my mom and her family on the NY state census for Niagara Falls; that was neat but nothing there I didn't know or that could help, other than that the second oldest may have been born in Italy as well. (I know the oldest boy died when he was still very young so he isn't on the census ...

D'Angelo from Cesacastina.
My grandfather, Carmine D'Angelo, was born in Cesacastina in 1890. (His parents Emidio D'Angelo and Sabata Toppi). My grandmother, Italia Chiantelli(??), I believe was born in Naples but not sure; don't know her parents names - her mother died in childbirth, and I believe her father may have ...
