Sorry it has taken me so long to get back on here and see the replies but I finally have. I am totally amazed at what I have seen. I was able to see where my grandfather is from and by clicking on icons I found someone with his name!! Now if I had an email for this person.... He is Luciana ...

Can you tell me where roccavivi is located in Italy as my grandfather is from there, Benedetto DiBattista, is from there and I have been unable to locate it.

Yes, Rizzo, that is my grandmother's manifest (Giovanna) and her sister and brother. Am I reading that correctly that her father's name is Salvatore? I never knew that! Is there any way to find any information in Rutino? Maybe I could find a church there if and when I go to Italy. My dream one day ...

My grandmother with her sister and brother, going to meet their older brother. She has another brother that came over later. She was from Rutino?? near Salerno? I'm not sure about the spelling or location yet. I'm still learning so much and I'm loving every second of it.

The Langellotti on the census is my Aunt, my grandmother's sister, and Michael Rizzo is her brother. I wish my mother could see this! Thanks!

Oh my goodness! That is him and my grandmother and mother! Thank you so much! My brother has a copy of some of my grandfathers papers and is going to check and see what he can find. I will give more info as soon as I get any.

Ohhh, his mother! I have calls in to both of my uncles asking them to call me when they get home. I will try to get more info. I know one uncle told me he ran away from the farm. And went to Scotland for a bit too. I was told he was from North Italy and one uncle says LaBoots?? and one said Roccia ...

And one more important thing, my grandfather dropped the Di from his name after a few years and lived in Oneonta, NY until he passed away. He served in WWI in the US Army. Thanks again!

My grandfather was born 7/12/97 and my grandmother 10/24/00. They had four children, Santa Eva, Angelo, Benedict and Nancy.

Oh, my mother was named Santa and I know she mentioned Colone as family. I lost her a couple of years ago and now have pictures that I'm trying to sort and that is what got me started on my grandfather's family. I have a picture of his mother (I think) but no others. Such a shame...

My grandfather left home when he was about 13. He never talked much about his family in Italy. He came to USA in 1913. All I know is he was from Roccoviva (spelling) in Northern Italy. His name was Benedetto Di Battista. Any help would be great as I cannot find even where he was from on any maps. I ...
