Re: Italian Harlem Historians??
A lot of the buildings in Harlem, where our ancestors lived, were torn down for public housing. Your best bet is to contact the map division at the NY Public library, that will show you the streets that once were, but are now gone.

Re: Family Members on Italian Death Records

Re: Nocera Inferiore- no records at the FHC
I have the same problem with towns in Naples records are only up until 1865 in the towns I need. Someone I know was going to Salt Lake City and our director at the FHC called to inquire about some towns in Spain and Salt lake City had them, they were not even on the website, they could only be viewe...

Re: Calvary Cemetary in New York
I will look at my map. I am busy this morning, if I don't get back to you, please remind me later. If it is the same, which I am sure it is, my cousin has pictures from last fall, I can send you.

Nocera Inferiore- no records at the FHC
Hello, anyone know why there are no records for this town? I was told they may have been destroyed during WWII. Does anyone know an email address or the Church to get records from this town?

Re: Calvary Cemetary in New York
My grandparents are buried in Calvary, as well as other relatives. Also, my cousins great-uncle is in the potters field. When you call Calvary, they might do one free look up, but when you call give the list of every name you are looking for, because they could be in the same plot, easier for the pe...

No, but I won't let anyone else do my research either. Have you done any research yourself at the Family History Center? Do you know the towns your ancestors came from?

Re: Requesting copies of recotds
You can call Salt Lake City and ask them to print a better copy for you. I do it all the time, my family history center has horrible readers. As for responses to your letters, remember in Italy many towns do not have work hours like the USA. In one town I was in, the office was closed Wed and Friday...
