Re: Nicola Fariello and wife Eufrasia Derasmo
Took a look at my records from 2 yrs. ago - not the best. Eufrasia's surname (cognome) is D'Erasmo. I have found some D'Erasmo and Fariello people who were connected with my ancestors but cannot say whether they are parents/siblings of your Nicola, Rocco, Eufrasia, etc.

No. 1 I think means someone moved to the town of Toritto on that date
No.2 says there is no schedule/form/record but I don't know 'Cartacea'.
I have used the Grumo records during your time period, usually with great success. Have gotten back to the mid 1700's with these records.
Good luck

how to record info
Hello everyone-
A couple of questions for the board-
I am transcribing some marriage and birth info I got from an FHL film. I have come across several people with surnames like "lo Russo" "lo Zito" "la Corriere", etc. I know these surnames can be translated (like the Russian) which is probably ...

The collection you referenced, Pennsylvania, Philadelphia Marriage Indexes, 1885-1951, did you find that on Ancestry? Would you be willing to share where it can be found?
Thank you,

Re: Fariello and Scarola Families Grumo Appula, Italy
Just saw your post - I have had good luck for Grumo Appula with an FHL film # 1603707 Nati 1857-1865 Matrimoni 1809-1832. Some of the records give parents birth info before 1800 (or you can figure it out by subtracting). A Leonardo Scarola (age 39) arrived with my ggrandfather 19 June 1903 on the ...

Re: Alien registration card
Just to muddy the waters - I have my grandfather's original Citizenship paper so I know he naturalized BUT on his manifest there are no numbers to indicate it was checked by anyone prior to becoming a citizen.

Re: Need help with name order, surname, first, middle?
It's not easy to read but my take is Francesco Paolo - Francesco 1st name, Paolo 2nd. Possibly there were 2 Francescos as brothers so yours used his 2nd name in the family to distinquish himself from another Francesco.
Hope this helps-
