Update from Italy:

Thanks to my fathers investigative work in Italy, it turns out that Vincenza and Maria were the same person (Maria Vincenza Cerrone). Thanks for all the help.

I will also try to research Maria in the US to see if they are the same person.

Thanks for your efforts on the quick search. I had found Maria's record and wondered the same thing. Everything matches except the name. Certainly could be her although all US documents I have found for her are under Vincenza and no reference to a middle name. It just might be a sister of Vincenza ...

I have searched endlessly for any Ellis Island ship manifests for Vincenza Cerrone and have come up empty. According to other documents I have, I believe she was born in 1889 and came to the US from Circello (BN) in 1909. The family settled in the Bronx (NYC).

I recently found out that my GGM came from Circello. Her name was Vincenza Cerrone. She arrived in US about 1909. It seems her birth year would be 1889. Her parents were Francesco Cerrone and Addolorata Cassetta. By any chance might you have any info on these families? I realize that ...
