Need Letter Writing Ideas To Locate Possible Relatives

Hello,
I wish to write a letter to possible relatives living in Sicily but I neither speak or write in Italian. Do you know of a form letter that is both proper and polite to use? I plan on including a clear, simple family tree with it.
sincerely,
josie

Pippo, Thank you for your reply ~ I have visited the website and have sent an email with my parents names to confirm this is the church. How to translate Italian/Sicilian Letters to English

Does anyone know the best way to translate a very large amount of letters, probably around 300? They are old, from 1948-1949 - some very weathered and thin.
thanks,
josie

Re: Names and locations of prisons in Sicily

Riccardo, Both sets of my grandparents and my father came from Ramaaca, Catania - no one in the family knows my Great Grandfathers first name but his last name would have been Di Silvestro or possibly Silvestro. I am told he did died in a prison in Sicily but not sure which one, possibly a prison in...

Paglia from Catania, DiSilvestro from Catania

Hello, I am searching for living relatives in Catania. My father Joseph Paglia was born in Catania in 1924, his mother was Rosa Paglia (maiden name Alvares) born 1896, his father was Giovanni (John) Paglia born 1888. I believe Rosa had sisters named Concettina Zappala, Francescia Canpanelli and Jose...
