Need Help finding a death date for my Great Grandfather
My Great Grandfather (Domenico Parisi a.k.a. Dominick, Dominic) was born on March 13, 1891 (we are pretty sure.) He immigrated from Siderno in Reggio Calabria and came to NYC on June 4th 1909. He moved to Brooklyn and lived at 414 Lefferts Ave. He gave birth to my Grandfather on January 1st, 1917 ...

Re: Can't find Great Grandfather's birth date. Sur
Hi Laura,
Gelormo (my grandfather) came back to the states in (we think) Jaunary of 1962. He did not take the boat, but rather flew.

Re: Can't find Great Grandfather's birth date. Sur
Hey Laura:
Another thing... when doing some more research I ran across another record. It is a WWII registration card:

Dual Citizenship Question, Father need it first?
My Great Grandfather (Dominico Parisi) was born on March 13, 1891 and moved from Siderno to Brooklyn in June 4th, 1909. He gave birth to my Grand Father, Gelormo Parisi, on January 1st, 1917. It looks that he never started the naturalization process until at least 1921, if he did at all… still ...

I have also looked through several of these databases for Dominico's naturalization records:

and found several different ones, in both Brooklyn and Manhattan. I also found another on this site:

Hey Laura,
Yes, that is very true. No others in Siderno, so that makes sense. On top of this, you are right, the occupations match as we always knew he “died on the railroadâ€

Re: Can't find Great Grandfather's birth date. Sur
Another question for you… would that be his signature on the bottom of the left side of the registration card? Why would he sign his own name with the incorrect last name? Also, it seems that the last name Barresi is another common Italian name… are we sure this is actually him?

Re: Another question about my great grandparents, Surname: P
I gave that a try earlier today and unfortunately only 2 records are displayed, neither of which display the correct age for his birth year of 1891. Any other possible resources?
