1. FENCHEL was born WFT Est. 1670-1715 in (Schwaben, Germany), and died WFT Est. 1710-1795.
I can't go any farther - not finding anyone born at that time...and no one on the German geneology forum has responded.

Thanks! I used the 'church' book you sent me last - but there were 2-3 different Simon's...and the spellings of the last names thru me off. Do you have any idea about "RANICH"?...how the family changed from Fenical to Ranich and then back again? or why it happend? - for some reason I do no...

Found something interesting when trying to do my family tree... Russel D Fenical DOB 1899 (Fenicle, or Finicle) also has a Census with the name Russel D Ranich ??...everyone in the family has the name change...and then it goes back to Fenicle again. I am so confused and can't seem to figure out why ...

just spoke to my grandfather and mentioned the surname spellings...he said that he recalls someone giving him the surname of FINGUE ??? I think the two names you both have provided seem more accurate - but thought I'd let you know...just incase.
