Well, thanks to everyone's help, I am making some progress. I searched the LDS site for Carmelo Bartolone, and found one b. 29 Oct 1852 in Bagheria that is very likely the father of Filippo, Carmela, and Sam. Carmelo's parents are listed as Filippo Bartolone and Carmela Blando, haha. I am so happy. ...

pink, thank you as well. I mentioned Rosalia to my mother and she remembered hearing about it when she was younger. suanj, could Sam's mother's name (Magguire) be a corruption of Montemiggiore? Philip, Sam, and Carmela's first daughters were all named Rosalia, so I'm assuming that that was their mot...
